Students will discuss labour relations in the region and examine the role that trade unions have played and continue to play in fostering employee – employer relationships. To broaden the knowledgebase of students, this course takes a critical look at the role of the stalwarts in the Caribbean labour union movement. Students will discuss the attempts at developing social partnerships in select countries and examine the issues surrounding Caribbean labour relations in the Public Service.
