This Pre-College computing course is designed for students with little or no formal knowledge of
computers. Students will be introduced to fundamental computing concepts and principles that will
help to enhance their basic computer skills. Students will train from the introduction, basic parts and
functions of the computer, programmes and application software, and also how to use it completely for
daily works. After acquiring the fundamental skills, students will learn how to use their computers to
connect to and explore the internet, and use the internet as a tool for research. Students will also
learn how to create and format simple word documents, create cover pages, table of contents, and
bibliography using the APA formatting style. The skills learned in this class will help to prepare precollege students for success in advanced studies as future college students
