Mr. Alex Jones has a Master’s Degree in Marine Science and Natural Resources from the National Taiwan Ocean University, Republic of China, Taiwan; a B.Sc. in Biology from the University of Belize, Belize; and an Associate’s Degree in Chemistry and Biology from the University of Belize, Belize. He worked as a Marine Biologist/Marine Reserve Manager for two (2) years in Belize, the country noted to have the largest barrier reef on this hemisphere.
He later joined the University of Belize in 2009 as an adjunct lecturer for three (3) years, where he taught Environmental Science Courses. He is currently working with the Turks and Caicos Community College (TCICC) as a Lecturer in the Marine Science Programme of the Natural Sciences Department.
In Developing Countries, Natural Resources Management has become a serious issue. In fact, Natural Resources are very important to all communities throughout the world. How can we survive as a people without them? Therefore, it is now a humanitarian effort on all of us to protect our Natural Resources, and in doing so; we engage the younger minds and hands that will make a significant impact on the future.
